Sunday's Thoughts

2:10 Folkestone

Dubawi Gulf sets a decent standard and although a short price (8/11) should gain her first win. 2nd

4:10 Folkestone

An interesting race but not the easiest to assess. Cocohatchee seems to make hard work of winning and looks a difficult ride. Having run at 7f last time, this 5f may not be ideal. A talented horse in his own right but one that doesn't look the most enthusiastic at times. Welsh Inlet has speed to burn but the last two runs have been poor and may be regressing. Whitstable Native is relatively fancied for the John Best team, however, they have a poor win rate on debut and generally better on their second start. The most interesting runner is Cristaliyev who shaped with promise on debut at Sandown. This colt by Fasliyev ran on well and looks to be going forward, which isn't the case for some of the more experienced juveniles in this field. The dilemma is trying to assess the worth of the Sandown form. It could well be fair but as yet it is still somewhat unproven. For that reason this is more of a watching race today.
