6:45 Goodwood (5th June)

A maiden race over 6f featuring five colts and one filly.

Arabian Pride ran a good race on debut at Newcastle. Well backed, and liked by the trainer, he was slow away and had to make up a huge amount of ground and for a moment or two challenged for the lead. That may have only been an auction race but I get the feeling that was a pretty good race. Simcock's juvenile should run a big race.

Sabii Sands was a costly purchase at 120,000eur and Hannon has done very well with his more expensive stock, often winning on debut. The betting will be a good guide to this ones chances.

Hold Your Colour didn't attain that much on debut at Goodwood but Meehan's two-year-olds can improve a huge amount on their second start. If this horse is fancied in the betting you can expect a much-improve performance.

A watching race.

Race review: 'This looked a two-horse race and it was. Hannon's Sabii Sands is a very impressive-looking juvenile and he has ability to match. Well backed, plenty knew this was a good horse and it was a battle to the line with Arabian Pride. Both of these have ability and will no doubt go on to better things.'
