3:45 Goodwood (25th May)

A relatively restricted auction maiden for colts and fillies over 6f.

Flapjack has shown an element of ability and should run a fair race. What I like about this filly is that she battles to the line and her experience will see her well.

Time Lord didn't show too much ability on debut at Bath and ran a little better at Goodwood the other day but was still some way from winning. It may be the case that race set a fair standard and at this time it is still difficult to assess at the moment. Certainly a horse that is progressing with racing.

Of the unraced Fire And Stone is of interest especially as the Dascombe stable has a wealth of talented juveniles.

Reach For The Sky has been entered to run in a selling/claiming race which muay be a negative.

A watching race.

Race review: 'A strange race. Time Lord and Flapjack were with the lead and looked to have a fighting chance, however, the complexion of this race changed markedly in the final furlong with Reach For The Sky, Pullyourfingerout and Just The Tonic powering home to have this field strung out. Hannon's winner was additionally surprising as it had been entered for a selling/claiming race. The second, Pullyourfingerout, hadn't shown much ability but seemed to be transformed and Just The Tonic always travelled well and ran on to take third. This is a difficult race to appreciate at this time. It may be quite good, however, the fact that Hannon's had been entered for such a poor race and the second not showing any particular ability before makes it rather puzzling.'
