Paul Cole Blog Update

Perfect Day was bitterly disappointing on her debut. She was sent off favourite, which may have been a tad optimistic, but we had expected at least a finish in the places. She was too green and hopefully will show her true colours next time.

This is what they said before her debut:

''We’ve also got a filly by the name of Perfect Day, whose pedigree is very exciting. Out of the talented Yesterday and sired by Holy Roman Emperor, we’re hoping for some memories with this one. Depending on how she works on Tuesday, she’ll be going to Ascot or Nottingham.''

Overpowered is having his debut at York or Newmarket, and is a lovely individual. He has the pace to burn off his rivals and could go well on his first outing. Royal Blush should improve on her second at HQ, where she was gradually getting closer but the finish came too soon. She’s very capable and we’d be hopeful of at least a repeat of her debut.
