Just a quick note to say that Paul Cole blog has announced the sale of Commissar. They are quoted as saying:
''Commissar our Star two year old has been sold!''
''He is a great Character with wonderful speed and we wish the new owner all the best!''
Previously owned by Constantinos Shiacolas, this bay colt sired by Soviet Star out of the mare Sari was originally purchased for 32,000gns. He won in the style of a talented two-year-old when cruising home a five-length winner of the Makfi Future Stars Maiden Stakes over 5f at Newmarket on 1st May. He is a half-brother to the talented Lily Again who won at Listed class.
No doubt the new owners will be published in the next few weeks. It is presumed he is being earmarked for the Coventry at Royal Ascot.
