5:15 Lingfield

A maiden fillies' race over 6f where a high draw can be an advantage.

Not too many with form and a number of juveniles from stables which struggle to win on debut.

Silca Conegliano has progressed with racing and shows a decent level of pace over 6f. Channon's two-year-old was narrowly beaten at Bath, after looking the winner for much of the way. Another fair effort was seen at Newcastle where this daughter of Alhaarth was comprehensively beaten by the talented Idiom. Having beaten Lady Platinum Club by a couple of lengths that was a capable effort and connections must be hopeful here. This filly was entered for the Woodcote Listed race at Epsom but this has been selected as an easier alternative.

It is difficult to get a grip on the performance of Fifth Commandment at Newbury last time. After a fair second behind the talented Rimth, you couldn't help but be disappointed with her last run. In fairness that race does seem to be quite strong but it was a pretty poor showing in truth. Osborne's two-year-old was never travelling with the purpose shown at Windsor. The 6f looked ideal but it may be the case she is regressing. A small filly, it would take a brave soul to jump in without some concern.

Al Andalyaa was a costly purchase at $100,000 and this daughter of Kingmambo was very well backed on the exchanges from big prices before starting a 11/2 shot at Lingfield on debut. Lanigan's filly never looked likely to do much that day and you have to consider that she may have disappointed to some extent. Once again, this two-year-old is quite fancied on the exchanges. A trainer who features very good place statistics with juveniles on their second start but often struggle to win. An interesting runner here and if particularly fancied in the betting could be significant.

Of the rest, Miss Dutee should be respected from the Hannon stable as this juvenile was second string on debut and could improve although certainly needs to.

Fanny May, for D. J. Coakley, has a fair place rate with his juveniles on debut and worth a second glance at a speculative price.
