A novice stakes race over 6f where a high draw can be a big advantage.
Janeiro ran a very good race at Beverley last time in the Brian Yeardley. A big, strapping colt I think he will be a tough horse to beat here from a decent draw.
Clive Brittain can do no wrong with his juveniles this season and Rumool ran well on debut in a race that is difficult to assess - it could be much better or worse than it looks. The main point about this colt is that Hills (jockey) gave it a very considerate introduction and an improved effort is on the cards.
Of the others, most have something to prove.
Janeiro will take some beating.
A watching race.
Race review: 'A strange race in the sense that both the favourites had problems to overcome. Janeiro didn't get the best of starts and then raced keenly round the bend. He finally found room and booted towards the leader Six Wives, who ran a storming race, but then struggled to hold the late effort of Rumool. This colt got loose before the start but didn't do too much and Sanders looked in determined mood to make this colt's mind up, and he finished with zeal. The comparison between Rumools debut and this second start was quite startling. To be fair I can imagine many people would question how hard this colt was ridden, while others will indicate that such a forceful ride resulted in a win.'
