7:10 Windsor (22nd June)

A restricted auction race for colts and fillies over 6f where a high draw is an advantage.

This looks a very good chance for Palisades Park to gain his first win after two fair performances. The only problem is being drawn in stall one, which doesn't do any favours to this colt by Compton Place. Hughes will no doubt try to make this juveniles experience count and get as close to the rail as possible. A big chance even with the draw being a negative.

Of the rest, Fire And Stone may be capable of better as quite a short price on debut but never really going. Gooseberry Bush is on a handy weight and quite an attractive. He ran in a decent juvenile race at Sandown.

This looks a good chance for Palisades Park, although not the most appealing bet with the low draw.

A watching race.

Race review: 'A nice confidence booster for Palisades Park who freewheeled from a low draw to the rail with minimal fuss and ran out an easy winner. Many A Slip put a disappointing effort at Salisbury behind him and finished with a flourish. It is difficult to appreciate the form at this moment as the winner won in good style but this colt isn't without hope. Fire And Stone continues the purple patch for Dascombe to take third. Of the others, Gooseberry Bush is a lovely-looking sort and showed good speed before tiring. Probably more of a nursery horse, as Makin does well in that race type.'
