2:15 Salisbury (9th June)

A restricted auction race for colts and fillies over 6f.

Crystal Gale ran a very encouraging race on debut at Lingfield and must have a very good chance today. This attractive filly by Verglas wasn't too quick from the stalls and took a good while to get the hang of things but finished with a nice galloping stride. Knight is a talented trainer and his juveniles often improve for the run. A good opportunity to gain her first win.

Mnarani didn't achieve too much at Goodwood on debut but was well backed and it's interesting that she has been given a stakes entry. Moore's two-year-olds can improve a huge amount for the run and at a speculative price may have a better chance than many would consider.

Newton Circus must be respected from the Hannon stable.

Crystal Gale should take some beating here, while Mnarani may have each way claims.

A watching race.

Race review: 'A race full of big price surprises with Decree Absolute winning at 66/1 for Miss J R Tooth with Pherousa adding to the score being second at 33/1. Crystal Gale had a disastrous start and lost many lengths which made her task all the more difficult. She is probably better than this and deserves another chance. Newton Circus trained by Hannon was well backed and may have won if not wandering away from the whip. This race was slower and the first division and may explain the big priced winner prevailing today.'
