A poor-looking maiden at Lingfield.
Star Gaze, trained by Andrew Balding, represents the best form on show here although you would be a brave person to consider that performance illustrated ability. In theory this is a tougher race and Balding's juvenile has a rather exaggerated running style, perhaps better suited to softer ground. If it turns out to be a poor race then this colt has the kind of battling attitude to scrape a win but it would be disappointing if something doesn't prove better.
Diamond Affair was all the rage on debut, backed to a shortish price, but faded in the final furlong. This filly by Namid may be better than this, however, that was a poor performance and much more is needed today.
Jackie Danny has been entered to run in a selling/claiming race which is a negative.
Bell's Ocean ran at Windsor last night finishing a creditable second and unlikely to make a quick reappearance here.
This looks a poor race.
A watching race.

Race review: 'This race turned out to be as bad as it looked at Star Gaze ran out a very easy winner. Their was money for Khanivorous but this gelding was much too inexperience to on debut. A poor race from start to finish and Balding's winner deserved his success.'
