2:20 Warwick (12th May)

An interesting maiden fillies' race over the extended 5f.

The betting suggests this is a three-horse race. Angel Of Fashion ran much better here last time. The third that day (Six Wives) has since come out and won a decent claiming event and Hills' filly will certainly have every chance today.

Deal, trained by Richard Hannon, was second string on debut at Windsor and ran a fair race. Not the biggest of fillies, she has been entered to run in two stakes races and should strip fitter over this extended five furlongs.

Forget needed the race on debut and ran on towards the line in what looked to be a pretty average maiden at Lingfield. She may well improve for this step up in distance and Brittain will be expecting more on her second start. Considering the winner of that race, Art Jewel, was comprehensively beaten by Crown yesterday evening, Forget will need to show more sparkle to win this trappy event.

A watching race.

Race review: 'An average maiden fillies' race won by the improving Quaker Parrot. Tom Dascombe continues to do well with his juveniles. Quite an attractive filly she didn't show too much after a slow start at Bath and ran a much better race with that experience on side. Deal and Angel Of Fashion looked to be the form horses and ran their races but simply not good enough on the day. Deal is a small, compact filly and may be better at sharp 5f although she doesn't look the type to progress much beyond this standard. Angel Of Fashion seems to struggle to go the pace in the early stages and this makes her task all the more difficult. She ran on and had every chance but is finding it difficult to get that elusive win. Mark Johnston's Baileys Vision ran a decent race giving away experience. All of these juveniles have an element of ability; but is it enough to win a race?'
