Day 4 of the 30-Day Challenge. I've got a man cold so not feeling in a particularly humorous mood. Not bad win prize money for such a restricted race type: Maiden Auction Stakes over 7f on Standard going. Eleven two-year-olds take part, seven with experience. This doesn't look the most competitive of heats. Zio Gianni was noted by us last time out and unlucky not to win. This American-bred son of Lemon Drop Kid is a decent yearling buy at just $21,000. Jamie Osborne's bay colt has claims but once again there isn't much meat on the bone at 7/4. Must go well.
