Saturday's Thoughts

11:45 Lingfield
A maiden race over 5f. Fettuccine drops back to this minimum distance after running an okay race at Doncaster last time. Noseda has his juveniles in good form and although no super star must be competitive in what looks a poor race. A high draw is far from ideal but likely to run a big race at relatively short odds. Wolf Slayer is an attractive filly who deserves to win a race but doesn't seem to have a trip. After a couple of months rest she may come out all guns blazing and make no mistake this two-year-old has plenty of speed if Kingscote decides to take the lead. At York last time, she had the pace to beat all of the opposition but tired rapidly in the final furlong. A difficult juvenile to asses in ways. I would be tempted to lay at big odds-on in-running and hope after gaining an easy lead - gets caught once again. These Dreams was backed on debut and even though this filly showed little ability may be capable of better at big odds, especially if backed.

Quite interested in Littlepromisedland at a speculative each way price. Guest does well when dropping his juveniles in class and this step up in distance could see a much better performance today.
