Saturday's Thoughts

2:30 Ascot
An easy win for Frankel will have the Classic markets in a frenzy of activity. This good-looking colt by Galileo has certainly captured the imagination of even Henry Cecil and all eyes will be watching today. In what could be described as a moderate renewal of the Royal Lodge Stakes (Group 2) anything other than an impressive victory will be judged a disappointment. A very exciting two-year-old.

2:55 Chester
A competitive nursery sees a number of these re-oppose after running at Musselburgh. At a price, Crimson Knot may run a fair race. This filly looks a Chester specialist and was narrowly beaten earlier in the year. If this is run at a furious pace, Berry's youngster may finish with a flourish.

3:05 Ascot
The Meon Valley Stud Fillies' Mile (Group 1)
The reputation of two exciting fillies - White Moonstone & Theyskens' Theory - will be put to the test with the winner earning £123,759 and establishing themselves as the leading Classic(s) contender. A tough race to call - but I will be cheering on Theyskens' Theory.
