The Lily Agnes is always an exciting race and with £13,000 on offer a healthy pot to the winner.
Never an easy race to assess. A low draw will certainly be a big plus although three of those with the lowest draw do not really have the class to win this race, which may bring about traffic problems. Star Rover has won three times although I was slightly disappointed by his last effort and even though he was carrying a big weight I wonder if Evans' Camacho colt may be on the downturn. He certainly deserves to take his chance and if a fourth win comes his way here it will be a very good performance indeed.
Archers Road is a bonny colt with a touch of class. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him win this race and you can almost guarantee it won't be for want of trying. This isn't a betting race for me, however, I will be cheering on this colt trained by Mick Channon.
Of the others a big word has to be given for Kings Of Leo. A classy-looking filly, and comfortable winner at Warwick, she will run a decent race.
Mijas Player ran a very encouraging race on debut and cannot be ruled out.
A watching race.
Race review: 'A superb performance by Star Rover to win his fourth race. Few juveniles this day and age manage such a feat and this was a significant win for the Evans team. Both Star Rover and Archers Road ran right to the line and in many ways this was a two-horse race from a long way out. Both juveniles deserve much credit for their performances and must have a fighting chance at Royal Ascot. Of the others, Kings Of Leo lost her chance at the start, while Mijas Playa ran on stoutly at the finish after being run off her feet. Tom Folan ran a cracker to get third.'
