1:40 York (15th May)

A fascinating listed race for fillies over this quick 5f.

Misheer won with ease at Yarmouth and could be a very good filly. Clive Brittain has trained many classy juveniles in his time and this daughter of Oasis Dream could be something special. Even if the form of the Yarmouth race is poor it was still a great performance and Ascot must be on the cards whether win or lose.

Dispol Keasha has such natural speed that York should be ideal for her. Connections will probably be disappointed to see the rain change the going to good ground. The form of her Musselburgh race has been slightly let down by Ventura Cove being beaten by Fratellino but make no mistake this fill has tremendous pace and could have most of these struggling after a furlong or two.

Eternal Instinct won well on debut at Haydock. What impressed me most about her victory is that she come from so far off the pace and won in the manner of a good horse. Goldie isn't generally a trainer noted for two-year-olds with ability but this filly was very well backed that day and clearly held in high regard. I can see this juvenile running a big race as long as she isn't totally outpaced and finds herself with a mountain to climb.

Diamond Laura and Azif have both run well and consistent sorts although this is could be a much tougher task and both will need to improve to win this.

A watching race.
Race review: 'A battling win for Misheer who was manoeuvred to the rail and regained the lead to beat Aalsmeer on the line. McMahon's second reversed the form with Eternal Instinct who may have disliked this change of ground. Little Scotland ran well on debut (a race that is working out) and put in a noticeable performance for Tim Easterby's stable. Diamond Laura and Azif both done themselves justice with sterling efforts.'
