2:30 Beverley (17th July) Free Horse Racing Tips

A Maiden Auction Stakes over 5f  on good ground.

Inchy Coo probably has just about enough ability to win a race. This drop back to the minimum trip may have this filly slightly tapped for toe but she will run to the line which is a positive.

It's good to see Amy Ryan getting some decent rides and Ayr Missile should go well. This bay filly - an early foal - suffered a narrow loss on debut and then wasn't suited by 7f in what turned out to be a strong race. It will be interesting to see how she handles this drop to 5f but if coping with this pace has each way claims.

This may not be a straightforward race as a a few debutantes have interest and below-effort first starters may have a glimmer of hope.

Pure Excellence, trained by Mark Johnston, has been entered for the Lowther Stakes (Group 2). I always find this stable difficult to judge with juveniles making their racecourse bow but this lofty entry could indicate ability.

Similarly Red Gift & Bogsnog have both been given stakes race entries. Neither showed a jot on debut but I wouldn't disregard these canny trainers just yet. The betting will be the best indicator to Red Gift. If priced 13/2 & less could go well. The latter, trained by Linda Stubbs, would need to be transformed after a nondescript debut at Kempton. This gelding may be limited but it is worth noting that this stable's juveniles often run well on their second start. At fantastic odds he could well be worth a punt.

Richard Fahey is one of very few trainers who can really prime a horse for a big run on its racecourse bow. Dance Off seems a little weak on the exchanges but a horse to respect.

Conclusion: Interesting to see how Inchy Coo and Ayr Missile fare dropping to the minimum trip. They both have proven a level of form and most guaranteed to hit the frame. Intriguing to note the Lowther entry for Pure Excellence. Johnston's debutantes are either easy winners or dismal failures. I would take a watching brief but if that entry has any worth a strong contender. Red Gift would have fair win and place claims if priced 13/2 & less. Bogsnog could go well at speculative odds.
