A Wandering Mind...

A Wandering Mind

Just the one bet today - sticking my neck out backing a relatively short priced horse for me. I though Lady Jameela was a fair price at 2/1, but perhaps the slight weakness in the betting (touching 3/1) was a negative. This looked a moderate race and if she was going to win, this was a fine opportunity. It didn't happen. Disappointing. I think she would have been a better prospect held up, but that is a matter for debate. A good-looking juvenile, perhaps an easy 6f is the key. The only blessing is that after this disappointment she could well be a speculative price next time, although she would need to be a price and a half to tempt me. Rode Two Destiny was substantially backed. It wasn't the biggest surprise as Peter Makin's juvenile had been entered to run in a stakes race, which often carries significance.
