Horse racing facts: 2015 Cox Plate Odds

Looking forward to the 2015 Moonee Valley carnival? Watching closely the Cox Plate odds or perhaps on the look out for the cox plate tickets? All avid horse racing enthusiasts are holding their breath as they look forward to the end year Australian spectacle that is known for its world class thoroughbred horses, top jockeys and tested trainers needless to say, an extremely entertaining and rewarding event for the lovers of this equestrian sport.

This distinguished tournament is named after its founder William Samuel Cox, who is also responsible for founding the Moonee Valley racecourse situated in the beautiful Melbourne landscape. It is a weight for age competition for three year old and above thoroughbred horses for a stake of three million US dollars. The track is 2040 meters long and holds only group one competitions. This title is part of a local series of world acclaimed and competitive Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the Melbourne Cup and Golden Slipper. This is the basic platform which these horses are tested and streamlined for the Cox Plate Tournament held in October of every year since its maiden run that was held in 1922. Most memorable of the superstars of this track is the Kingston Town that managed to win the title in 1980 and retained it for two subsequent years before relinquishing it in eighty three. The shortest favorite of the tournament is Phar Lap with $1.7 recorded in 1931. More recently is the admission of the title in the Emirates World Series in 1999, which is a grand Prix event hosting other world class races like the Arlington Million and the Dubai World Cup. Owing to its portfolio, the cox plate title receives an overwhelming two hundred nominations every year.
2015 Mooney Showdown
At par with Cox Plate Title traditional annual calendar, this year's spectacle is to take off early mid morning Saturday on 24th of October. Make sure to purchase the cox plate tickets entry tickets beforehand. For participants, though, the nomination is to happen in the fourth of August. The Acceptances follow soon after with the first one's date yet to be set, but will definitely be within the month of September. The third and final acceptances are to be held in the sixth of October awaiting the main events on the twenty fourth. Betting enthusiasts are in for a feasible feast as history would prove most of the favorites end up winning the events with a horse of 70% winning odds always winning. Last year the results were as follows;

The current cox plate odds for the above horses are;
Adelaide 10, Fawkner 13 with Criterion, Lucia Valentina and Hallowed Crown leading so far with 17 each. It is prudent to note that the odds will continue to change up to the month of the event so keepan eye on the ratings.
