Yankeeyou (Wednesday)

I'm glad you're reading this. I need your help. As the two-year-old season has come and gone, the long wait for the new Flat Turf season has begun, but for the moment I need something to fill my ten-gallon hat & cowboy boots. Well, what are we going to do? I have decided to leave that question with you. In fact, you can be part of the Yankeeyou experience. Wait a cattle-rustling minute. This could be revolutionary. It's certainly got my betting account in a spin. This is truly a social betting experience because this Yankee has gone global. I want you to make the selections for my Yankee. The first four readers to leave a comment stating their selection for tomorrow's (Tuesday's) racing will be part of our bet. Have you got a winner up your sleeve? Do you want to be part of the populous?

Today's bet has been forwarded by social networking.

Good luck, you Yankeeyou, you.

lol, yeah only made a small win tho as i lost a bit trading out my place backs , thinking back tho i really shud have either just lumped on the lay or backed the winner a i read race perfect , but i just got it into my head that was the bet to do but when queen' drifted out astonishingly i had to trade , but like i say a wins a win ;-) , how did you do on yesterdays yankee?

Yesterday's Yankee was a balls up with Ayr abondoned it turned into a double...lol. Winner and 5th so lost a few pennies, but it really was a no bet with the non runners spoiling the show. Yes, a win is a win. Nothing much happening at the minute for me and feeling a little fed up with things but that's the way it goes. :-)

Why is the sky blue?

:-)

The sky isnt actually blue its transparent however the weakest elemental part of the colour spectrum which is the blue spectrum only having a wavelength of around 440nn as light from our primary source enters our atmosphere it breaks up and some of the weaker ( blue ) components get caught in our lower atmosphere and there they stay just bobbing around giving us a blue sky , this is also transversely the same reason the sea has a blue appearance , btw where do you get those gfx for the will hil bet slip i think its mint ;-)

You are just showing off now...lol. I thought it was because God had a blue paint brush.Lol so you like my William hill betting slip, hey. :-)

I will send you the link...lol. But no putting those slips on your blog. It's against the blue sky laws of betting.

I think you could be become the new Ask Jeeves.

How can it be possible that an open door is a jar?

Also, why does Steven Hawkins have a mechanical voice...

:-)

MadGambler said...

Lol a door becomes a( jar ) when the said door is left open by between 1-45 degrees anymore and it becomes just plain open, mr hawkin doesn't have a mechanical voice , it is a purged synthesised electronic recognition throat altimeter similar to those used in sat navs :-))

HCE said...

lol...that did make me laugh. :-) The thought of Steven Hawkins and sat nav is brilliant. And the name of that contraption. I think it was him making those lorries go down one way streets.

:-)

You know, I feel like asking even more questions...lol.

"why have a 1.8 shot in an ew yankee"

is an interesting question, if it 1/4 the odds to place it becomes a 1.2 for that section. If there is a better than 80% chance of it placing it is a good bet.

I have a related question if you have a 4 or less runner race included and you select ew for a yankee (or other such multiple) how is the ew settled for that selection assuming it wins?

Hi Worrichy,

To all purposes it was a mistake including the first runner at such short odds. However, in my mind I had the intention of making these ew Yankees and right or wrong that thought led me to such a view. As it happened, the ew pay of the bet actually won some money so even though ridiculous odds it was a ''mistake'' which done little damage. With regard to the other question, I imagine the bet would be void (so straight win yankee). In future, if a horse in the Yankyoo is priced less that 3/1 it will be a straight win.
