It's A Trainer No Brainer

Mark Tompkins
Trainers trainers everywhere but not a horse to back. Well, that can often seem the case when betting two-year-olds on debut. In fairness, it isn't the wisest move to bet on juveniles when making their race course bow because from a statistical standpoint they are much more likely to win on their second start. Peter Chapple-hyam, Richard Fahey & Tom Dascombe are masters at scoring on debut. However, many trainers feature a particularly poor strike rate. Here are a few of the worst candidates.
