X Factor: Layers' Nightmare (Amelia Lily Backed To Win)

You may have thought Hallowe'en had come and gone. However, a few layers may be having a very peculiar feeling with the announcement that Frankie Cocozza has been booted off X Factor after breaking one rule too many. In a statement the teenager said: “I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today, I will no longer be in The X Factor. My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show."

There has been claims that the final straw came with him ''boasting about taking cocaine in front of producers''.

This has left layers panicked after contestants Johnny Robinson and The Risk were evicted on Sunday. Layers - feeling secure in the fact they had been voted off - laid odds as big as 999/1 on betting exchanges. However, with the show needing a 'new contestant' to eliminate this Sunday rumours are abound that an evicted act may be reinstated.

The Risk - who touched 999/1 - are now priced 40/1 on Betfair, while Johnny Robinson is 150/1 after touching similar odds.

Amelia Lily who was voted off the show by Kelly Rowland when making the ''judges' vote'' is priced as low at 40/1 to win the competition even though she could hardly be recognised as making the starting line. PS: Since this posting Amelia Lily has been backed to 8/1 and looks a near certainty to be back in the competition.

At present Marcus Collins is favourite, priced about 3/1 (Betfair). While Janet Devlin & Craig Colton are in hot pursuit priced 7/2 & 4/1 respectively.

Over recent weeks X Factor has seen rating plummet with talk of 'bullying', acts looking disinterested and Simon Cowell finding fault suggesting contestants ''need to raise their game''.

The leaving of Cocozza will add a touch of spice to proceedings if not increase the heart rate of a number of layers who could lose a fortune if the show's producers decide to reinstate an evicted contestant to fill the wayward Cocozza's boots. If that was to happen and the reinstated contestant went on to win it could be a horror show for layers who thought they had made a killing by laying 'easy money'.

It's really a big pleasure to become an X factor contestant. Sad to know that Frankie wasted this kind of opportunity. He is quiet good. And I heard, he still have some other shows. :) Good Luck to his career.
