7:50 Wolverhampton (12th November) Horse Racing Tips/Result

An EBF Maiden Stakes over 1m1f103y. A proud moment for Andrew Tinkler King Of Dudes being the first horse to race under the care of Sir Henry Cecil. So often new owner/trainer combinations like to start off on a winning note and this bay colt by Dansili could well hit the target. An expensive foal at 120,000gns, the dam was twice raced and related to a Oaks winner Light Shift. It is encouraging that this runner had been entered for a group race earlier in the season and would have been given as an HCE Dark Horse.

Cecil's two-year-olds can win on debut, and they have been in good form of late, but they feature a much better strike rate on their second start. King Of Dudes has win and place claims but might be a better proposition next time.

Godolphin have three representatives, two raced. Rebel Song has experience on side and showed up a long way before being beaten by Wrotham Heath. He has a level of ability and a fair each way selection.

San Mambo was relatively fancied on debut. Botti's juveniles often progress with racing and this bay colt is another who will be winning before long. A fair each way selection at decent odd.

The betting is the best guide to the others. Cotton Trader has claims if priced 13/2 & less.

Conclusion: An open race and difficult to be dogmatic. King Of Dudes is an interesting debutant for Andrew Tinkler and a Group entry mid-season indicates some promise. Sir Henry Cecil rarely has his juveniles fit to burst which suggest second time out may be the time to strike. However, he has each way claims. Rebel Song has a fighting chance but probably has his limitations, too. Sam Mambo would get my vote. He was relatively fancied on debut and that is often a pointer to a big run next start. At speculative odds he could go well.

HCE: ''Rebel Song won with ease. The two debutantes, King Of Dudes & Cotton Trader, showed promise in second and third respectively.''
