4:20 Kempton (10th November) Horse Racing Tips/Results

Don't Call That Number
A 0-60 Nursery over 1m. Two-year-old handicaps are not the easiest of races to assess, especially at this lowly grade, but this might just be the day for Ermyn Flyer. This bay filly - trained by Pat Phelan - has run quite well on a few occasions and recently been entered and withdrawn from a few contets giving the impression connections are attempting to find that elusive winning race. The key to this daughter of Sakhee might be the distance.

Stepping up to one mile could be a positive because she has simply run out of time when making ground in the latter stages of recent events. With Ian Mongan back in the saddle, a fair draw and a handy weight she has sound each way claims.

HCE: ''Fairyinthewind won this with ease. A strong juvenile, he travelled well and went clear without any fuss. Auntie Kathryn was some way off the pace but ran on with some promise. Ermyn Flyer was a big drifter in the betting but held third place.''

Hi Clint,

Yes, you will notice that is a theme as I have to go out each Thursday morning so it puts me on the back foot. Well, I laid two horse to be unplaced in the 12:20 Southwell, so that is a good start. Focusing on the 2yo racing. May have a small ew bet on Ermyn Flyer in (4:20)although I'm not that excited about nursery races. Always a touch mad in my opinion. Will have a small win and place (or just place bet) on Fortrose Academy (5:50 Kempton). The race looked poor and very restrictive so be disappointing if Balding's can't do something there. I will be looking at your two selection on the info brief.

Have a good day :-)
