2:40 Hamilton (18th September) - Result

An EBF Maiden Stakes over 1m 65y on soft ground.

Not the easiest of races to assess, especially in these testing conditions. I would stick with Hyperlink and Savanna Days

The former ran a great race at Chepstow when narrowly defeated but ran in a puzzling race at Chester last time when Mcvicar plugged on well to beat Johnston's juvenile. Perhaps he wasn't suited by the course and better should be seen today.

Savanna Days looked to have good speed on her earlier starts and I was mildly surprise how well Channon's juvenile ran over 1m in a competitive race at Goodwood.By all accounts that was an effort which should see her go close today.

Both have fair win and place claims although ideally each way selections if price allows.

HCE: ''Gabrial's Star didn't look a winner in the making after a tardy start and bustled along but win he did, getting up close home. Choisan seemed to enjoy this step up in distance. A good looking horse, he will be winning soon. Savanna Days held every chance at the furlong pole but didn't quite finish her race after slogging away in these testing condition.''
