Insignia Racing

Insignia Racing's very first season looks like it could be a very good one as Signifer backed up his debut performance with a convincing win in the opener at Bath. The son of Titus Livius not only secured the £10,000 Racing Post Yearling Bonus, but also put himself in the frame for a possible Royal Ascot appearance.

Runner up on his racecourse debut at Newbury behind the highly regarded Magic City, this wasn't the strongest of maidens but Signifer did all he was asked and MRC is looking forward to a trip the the Royal meeting.

"He's a smasher, a lovely mover with a tremendous attitude. All he wants to do is get on and we're more than happy to let him do so. He'll need more experience and we'll look to give him that, probably in a conditions race at Windsor on 16th May and then the plan as we stand at the minute will be to look at one of the juvenile contests at Royal Ascot.

"That would be the plan - Insignia Racing is geared towards the showpiece occasions an that what we'll do. They have a two year old filly called Represent that run at Ascot on Friday and she has a lot of ability, so I think Insignia could have a greart start."
