Can Galileo please make his way to the departure's lounge

Galileo - Flying
I can't say I am very knowledgeable about horse breeding. However, I couldn't help but smile reading that Derby-winning stallion, Galileo, wasn't based  solely at Coolmore Stud in Fethard, County Tipperary. From 2002 - 2006 he would jet to their Australian branch for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season 'shuttling' between the two five times in this period.

This is no surprise when in 2008 fees for a live foal were reported to be 225,000 Euros.

As of 11 September 2010, he has sired sixteen Group one or Grade 1 winners worldwide, including New Approach, Soldier of Fortune, Rip Van Winkle, Red Rocks, Cape Blanco, Teofilo and Lush Lashes.
