Monday's Thoughts

3:10 Wolverhampton
A 0-80 nursery over this extended 7f(32y). Gentleman Is Back sets the standard and may be able to give a few pounds to the opposition. A good-looking colt, he ran well on debut and is suited to this trip as shown by a win at here last time and the most consistent in the race. The main challengers come in the shape of Avid Kale and Charles Fosterkane. The latter prevailed when the two met over a mile although Avid Kale lost out that day because he didn't get the distance and is more suited to 7f. There may not be a great deal between the pair today. Marco Botti's runner is not very big and although has enough speed to sit handy may struggle against the favourite who will dwarf this juvenile. Of the rest, Bailey's Moneypenny has shown ability on a couple of occasions although the second at Redcar was a poor race. Her last run was a huge disappointment and even if coming back to the best form will find this a tough test.
