A novice stakes event over 7f. It is never easy to give away experience or race against winning juveniles but I am tempted to go for a punt, at a speculative price, on Balding's debutant Kingston Acacia. In many ways this bet seems to defy logic but Balding has been flying this season with his two-year-olds and it is intriguing why he would consider a stakes race unless he thought this juvenile was a capable sort. I certainly wouldn't be tempted to take a short price against this opposition, but if you can get a speculative price on the exchanges or an each way touch with the bookmakers it may be worth a few quid.
