3:00 Catterick (1st July)

A fillies' maiden over this quick 5f.

Most of these juveniles look rather limited and in many ways this looks to be a three-horse race.

Totally Invincible showed good speed at Warwick last time and I initially thought that was a fair performance but Val C didn't add to that merit of that race when beaten recently and McMahon's two-year-old may not be the greatest standard. However, in a poor race you would think a big run is likely although at a short price I would be careful.

Elusive Sue was a short price for her debut in a competitive race and she would have needed to be good to win there. She didn't achieve much and certainly needs to improve.

Karl Burke is represented by Tut. This filly wouldn't have to be good to win although this trainer is generally better for the run. If fancied in the betting it would be more encouraging.

This looks a good opportunity for a Totally Invincible although I wouldn't take a short price.

A watching race.

Race review: 'A poor race won from the start by Totally Invincible who just had too much speed for these to compete. Elusive Sue was steady favourite but outpaced and a long way behind after a furlong. She ran on quite well but was never going to catch the winner. The first two went clear of the field.'
