6:40 Windsor (18th May)

A competitive but small field for this conditional stakes race over 5f.

It will be intriguing to see how Archers Road and Monsieur Chevalier compare as I can see Channon's juvenile trying to steal a lead and Hannon's impressive colt playing a waiting game and thundering home. As usual, I will be cheering home Archers Road who will certainly test the ability of Monsieur Chevalier although probably struggle to beat him.

Ailsa Carmel ran a great race on debut and even though she may well have to settle for minor honours here it would be unwise to write her off. This is a talented filly.

Kirsty's Boy is a decent sort and the form of his race at Goodwood has been franked by the Roger Teal (5th), Russian Rock, winning next time out. I can see Moore's juvenile being outpaced and running on late, which may be a blessing if a few battle it out up front.

A watching race.

Race review: 'A decent race and another test for Monsieur Chevalier who beat Archers Road with a bit to spare. It may have suited Channon's colt if they had gained an early lead although both ran well and amongst the best juveniles we have seen this season. Both will probably go for the Coventry stakes at Royal Ascot.'
