2:50 Ascot (9th May)

An interesting maiden for colts and fillies over 5f. Little Perisher and Monsieur Joe are the form horses although Jarvis' two-year-old is more proven. Of the unraced, Key Art has a group and stakes entry. Absolute Magic has stakes entry and cost $95,000. Jira cost 110,000 gns although Clive Brittain has a poor win rate on debut. A competitive and decent maiden

Race review: 'Little Perisher won this race as he pleased. Clearly making the most of his experience, Jarvis' two-year-old is a consistent sort and probably didn't need to improve on his previous performances. Monsieur Joe was well backed but to be fair the form of the Windsor race has taken a knock or two of late and today's effort may have been a reflection of that. Swinburn's colt looked to have second place in the bag before drifting to his left in the final furlong. In some ways this was a disappointing run. Both Absolute Music and Key Art were quite well backed. They ran creditable races on debut, although more may have been expected.'
